Noida and Ghaziabad residents faced tough times on Monday as the two NCR cities faced 8-12 hour unscheduled power cut, a report published in TOI said.
Also, Monday was registered as the hottest August day in 23 years, the report added.
The key reason behind the huge power crisis is the shortfall across the state which was around 600 MW.
After showing signs of easing over the weekend, long hours of power outage returned to torment Noida and Ghaziabad on Monday as Delhi and its
adjoining cities baked in the hottest August day in 23 years.
The ongoing power outages have also deepened the issue of water crisis in these two cities.
